A Day of an Automation Engineer at Akagitech: From Robot Problems to PLC Commands

What does a day in the life of an Automation Engineer at Akagitech look like? Learn about our robot projects, PLC programming, and exciting technical challenges.

Your morning doesn’t start with emails, but with a problem: How can a robotic arm pick and place a complexly shaped product into the correct position with a tolerance of less than 0.1mm?

That’s the start of a typical day for an Automation Engineer at Akagitech.

9:00 AM: A quick meeting with the project team. You and the mechanical engineers analyze client requirements, sketch out ideas, and debate the most optimal technical solution. There are no bosses, only teammates finding the best answer together.

11:00 AM: Deep focus. This is when you “talk” to chips through lines of PLC code, building the “brain” for the entire system. Every logic, every variable must be carefully calculated.

2:00 PM: Hands-on at the workshop. You directly install, wire, and test sensors and motors on the conveyor system just completed by the mechanical team. This is when you see your lines of code turn into real mechanical motion.

4:00 PM: Fine-tuning and optimization. The system is running, but it’s not perfect yet. You and your teammates fine-tune motor speeds and calibrate the robot’s rotation angles to achieve peak performance and absolute stability.

Are you the one we are looking for?

  • Are you “addicted” to PLC/SCADA programming and consider solving a logic error a joy?
  • Are you passionate about robots and want to master modern automation technology?
  • Are you not afraid to get your hands dirty, ready to work in the workshop to turn ideas into reality?

If your answer is “Yes,” we are waiting for your CV for the Automation Engineer position.
